The Directorate of Housing is organizing a seminar on foam concrete

The Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a symposium in cooperation with the United Company for the Production of Concrete Blocks Ltd. Delivered by Dr. Zaid Al-Jumaili, the company's managing director, in which he addressed in general the characteristics of foam concrete, its physical and mechanical properties, the chemicals used and how to manufacture it.
Al-Jumaili also talked about the advantages of building units made of foam concrete, which is one of the products of the United Company compared to other building units available in Iraq in terms of thermal insulation, energy conservation, fire resistance and moisture resistance.
He also showed the possibility of producing building units with different densities, the possibility of recycling and finally the consumption of binder compared to other products.
During the symposium, he presented all the company's products, especially the structural engineering construction units made of foam concrete, and the ability of the company to meet the requirements of the Iraqi market according to engineering standards, how to build with structural engineering building units and the entire construction stages.
A time from the symposium was devoted to interventions, inquiries, and discussions about the product, the production that was presented, and comparative capabilities with traditional methods.
The answer was given by the managing director of the company, and all attendees praised the quality, the company’s scientific and engineering ability and the way of working.
In conclusion, Dr. Al-Jumaili thanked the higher management of the Directorate, represented by Eng. Haider Fadel Al-Mayali, Director General of the Directorate, Mr. Nabil Ghazi Thijail, Assistant Director-General, to the heads of departments of the Directorate and to all attendees from the Directorate’s headquarters and the Ministry’s formations. He also thanked the Directorate’s Relations and Media Division.
