Work team consisting of engineers (Senior Chief Engineer Maha Hatem, Chief Engineer Aseel Kamel, Assistant Chief Engineer Abeer Ghani) visited Shatt Al-Arab 1 residential complex project on 14/1/2024 to follow up on the work progress and take field notes.

Directorate of Housing: organizes a course entitled (General Electrical Installations)

The Planning and Follow-up Department / Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a course entitled (General Electrical Installations) for the period from (7-11/1/2024) in which a number of electrical engineers and technicians participated at the Directorate’s headquarters, in which the lecturer (Rifat Saleh Ahmed) addressed the definition of employees on how the PCL system works and the installations of electronic circuits.

The course concluded with all participants undergoing a test to review the information and evaluate the participants’ grades.

Directorate of Housing: organizes a course entitled (Legal Transparency and Management Transparency)

The Planning and Follow-up Department/Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a course entitled (Legal Transparency and Management Transparency). A number of employees at the Directorate’s headquarters participated in it. The legal lecturers (Ahmed Atta) and the first informatics technician (Tariq Kazem) addressed several topics in the course, including defining employees’ duties, the employee discipline law, and his knowledge of administrative matters, including bonuses, promotions, and service calculations. The course concluded with all participants undergoing a test to review the information and evaluate the participants’ grades.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a course entitled (Basics of Excel program)

The Planning and Follow-up Department/Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a course entitled (Basics of Excel Program) from the period (10-14/12/2023).

A number of engineers, programmers and all specialties from within the Directorate and all formations of the ministry participated in it. The senior programmer lecturer (Ahmed Hashem Jassim) discussed several topics in the course:

  1. Get to know the Excel program interface and explain all the main tabs on the program.
  2. Use all mathematical and arithmetic functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and average…. etc
  3. Use the conditional (if) function and apply several examples of using this function.

The course concluded with all participants undergoing a test to review the information and evaluate the participants’ grades.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a workshop on energy efficiency and rationalization of consumption

The Directorate of Housing one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities organized a workshop at the Directorate’s headquarters on energy efficiency and rationalization of electrical energy consumption on Wednesday (20/12/2023).

The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness among the segment of employees in the Directorate and the Ministry’s employees about rationalizing energy consumption as a vital type that has an impact on achieving sustainable development and its impact on financial investments and securing the energy necessary for economic and social development.

The engineer in the Certification and Consulting Department (Rami Mowafaq Salman) explained the importance of rationalizing energy consumption and not being extravagant in its use in order to reduce the gap between demand and production and thus increase processing hours. He also touched on an explanation of modern systems to reduce electricity consumption and encourage the construction of environmentally friendly buildings and adopt them in future building designs for Directorate of Housing projects.
