Minister of Construction and Housing Bankin Rikani inaugurates Al-Dabouni residential complex project.

The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Mr. Bankin Rikani, inaugurated Al-Dabouni residential complex project. This came during his visit to Wasit Governorate, accompanied by MP Yousef Al-Kalabi and the Governor of Wasit, Mr. Muhammad Al-Mayahi.

The project, which was supervised by the Ministry’s Housing Directorate, consists of (255) residential houses. It also includes a primary school, a commercial market, and an administrative center, in addition to external site works and green squares.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a course entitled (Learning HTML)

The Planning and Follow-up Department/Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a training course entitled (Learning HTML) for the period from 19-23/11/2023, in which a number of programmers from the Directorate’s headquarters and the Ministry’s formations participated, and the course curriculum was lectured by (Mr. Nabil Abbas Saeed).

The lecturer touched on several topics:

  1. The nature of language
  2.  Language elements
  3. Language tools
  4. Color and its work.

It concluded with all participants undergoing a test to review the information and give an evaluation of the participants’ grades.

Residential investment complex project in Amriya

The Council of Ministers resolved the issue of the delay in work on Amriya residential project and issued two decisions on the project, the first of which was No. 23634, in the Council of Ministers session on 7/11/2023. The second was No. 23651 in the Council of Ministers session on 14/11/2023.

With exceptional efforts by the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Mr. Bengin Rekani, the Council of Ministers adopted the issue and issued the two decisions to allow the Ministry and the National Investment Authority to resolve the issue, as an exception to the tender requirements mentioned in Paragraph 3 of Resolution 245 of 2019.

The two decisions were received today and the Minister directed us to immediately begin taking the necessary measures to complete the complex, complete the settlement with the previous company, and contract with serious investors to complete the project according to conditions that guarantee speedy completion and preserve the rights of registrants. At the same time, the Minister directed that urgent measures be taken to complete Nasiriyah Residential Investment Complex, and we will provide a statement to the Minister of the project requirements to take the appropriate decision to resume work on it urgently.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a course entitled (Preparing Final Accounts)

The Planning and Follow-up Department/Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a training course entitled (Preparing Final Accounts) for the period from 5-9/11/2023, in which a number of accountants from the headquarters of the Directorate and the Ministry’s formations participated. The course curriculum was presented. Mr. Naseer Asim Muhammad Ali, Senior Accountant/Administrative and Financial Department. The lecturer touched on several topics related to the final accounts:

1- Final statements of accounts.

2- The most important differences between the statement of financial position, the general budget, and the final accounts.

The aim of the course was to learn how to prepare final accounts, and it concluded with all participants undergoing a test to review the information and give an evaluation of the participants’ grades.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a celebration on the occasion of Arab Housing Day

Under the patronage of Mr. Bankin Rekani, Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities under the slogan “Humanizing cities is one of the pillars of mental health for members of society” the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a celebration on the occasion of Arab Housing Day, attended by a representative of the United Nations and a representative of the Ministry of Planning, in addition to a number of general directors from various formations of the ministry, department directors and relevant employees from the Directorate’s headquarters. The curriculum of the celebration, which was held this morning, Monday, October 2, 2023, in the Directorate’s grand hall, included several paragraphs, which opened with a verse from the Holy Quran, followed by the speech of the Minister, presented by Engineer Sadiq Muhammad Al-Fartusi, Director General of the Directorate of Housing, and then the speech of the representative of the United Nations. In a later paragraph, the Directorate of Housing made several presentations during which it explained the necessity of working to humanize cities because of their importance in supporting the mental health of citizens. In addition to the seminar attended by a number of specialists in the field of housing.
The celebration concluded by presenting plaques of thanks to the participants, presented by the Director General of the Directorate of Housing, in appreciation of their efforts to solve the housing crisis and provide safe and comfortable residential cities for community members.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a training course entitled (Transfer, Placement, and Adding a Service)

The Planning and Follow-up Department/Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, in cooperation with the Training and Development Center, organized a training course entitled (Transfer, Placement, and Adding a Service) for the period from (10-14/9/2023).
The lecturer in the course (Mr. Tariq Kazem) introduced the course participants to the processes of transfer, placement, and adding service among the ministry’s formations and the laws issued in this regard. He also explained the mechanism for calculating the contract service, how to disburse financial dues, and know the general balance to calculate the service. The course concluded by conducting a trial exam for the participants.

Directorate of Housing : organizes a course entitled (Anti-Virus)

The Planning and Follow-up Department/Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a course entitled (Anti-Virus) from the period (3-11/9/2023). In the course, the programmer lecturer (Ali Majeed Hameed) addressed several topics related to educating employees and workers in the computer field about confronting electronic viruses and identifying their areas and locations, as well as introducing the ways they spread and combating them, and how to preserve sensitive data, information, and systems from theft and fraud. The course concluded with all participants undergoing a test to review the information and evaluate the participants’ grades.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a course entitled (Internal Audit of the Quality System QMS)

Planning and Follow-up Department / Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a course entitled (Internal Audit of the Quality Management System QMS) according to the requirements of the guiding standard for auditing management systems (ISO 19011: 2018) for the period from (27 / 8 until 31/8/2023.
The course program was presented by Mr. (Ahmed Abdel-Zahra Ali / Senior Manager) / director of the Quality Management Division in the Directorate, as the program included a definition of the requirements of the international standard: (ISO 9001: 2015) as well as the knowledge and skills required in the process of internal auditing of the quality management system according to the requirements of the guiding specification for auditing management systems (ISO 19011:2018).
A number of employees of the Ministry’s formations participated in the course, and the lecturer touched on the benefits of applying the quality management system, especially since the Directorate of Housing holds the international quality certificate from the awarding company (INFINTY). The lecturer also presented an integrated curriculum related to the basic concepts of the standard and the role of internal audit in addressing deviations and raising the efficiency of performance in general in the Directorate. The course included several training workshops on the application of the system and internal auditing. It is noteworthy that the Directorate of Housing has been organizing training and development courses, workshops and seminars to improve the job performance of its employees in all specializations.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a workshop entitled (Investment Challenges in the Housing Sector) in cooperation with the Training and Development Center

In cooperation with the Training and Development Center, the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a workshop entitled (Investment Challenges in the Housing Sector) Dr. Zainab Salman presented the most important investment challenges represented in:
1. Absence of proper planning in granting investment licenses.
2. Not specifying the beneficiaries, the role of banks, and the initiative of the Central Bank.
3. Selection of residential sites.
4. The technical and qualitative level of residential investment projects.
The lecturer in the workshop, Dr. Jamal Baqir Mutlaq (teacher at the Urban and Regional Planning Center for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad) gave an introductory presentation on the dimensions of the housing problem, the challenges facing the investment process, and a diagnosis of causes and effects. He touched on the housing problem of development, the economic concept of housing, and the ability to afford housing costs, with an overview of selected models for housing investment projects. The workshop concluded with issuing a set of recommendations and possible solutions to address the housing problem.

The Directorate of Housing organizes a training course entitled (Preparation of Basic Designs for Cities)

The Planning and Follow-up Department / Training and Development Division in the Directorate of Housing, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, organized a training course entitled (Preparation of Basic Designs for Cities) for the period from 20/24/8/2023. A number of employees from the Directorate’s headquarters and the Ministry’s formations participated in it.
The two lecturers in the course (Eng. Zeina Habib) and (Eng. Ejalal Hassan Aziz) touched on several axes, including:
1. Introduce participants to how to develop urban planning horizons for cities and reduce the phenomenon of slums.
2. Definition of basic design terms for cities in general.
3. Knowing the basic rules for city planning, including the city of Baghdad, and the historical sequence of the stages of basic design since 1920 until 2023.
The course concluded with an exam for the participants.
